Open enrollment for State employee medical, dental, and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) benefits will run April 27 – May 15, 2026. This annual period allows employees to review and make changes to benefit elections for the upcoming plan year.
Medical and dental elections will roll over if no changes are made. FSA participation requires annual re-enrollment. After the deadline, changes are permitted only with a qualifying life event.
Additional details, including FY2027 plan information, are expected in the first part of April and will be shared through employee email and on the Office of Group Insurance (OGI) website.
Employees will have access to a variety of resources to help navigate open enrollment, including:
- FAQs
- Enrollment 101 Employee Guide
- “What Do I Need to Do?” interactive guide
- FY2027 plan highlights video (Regence)
- “How to Enroll in Luma” recorded training
- Updated Quick Reference Guides (QRGs)
- Additional plan details, including premium rates
Some resources may begin appearing on the OGI open enrollment website and within Luma ahead of April 27, with a full set of communications and tools launching at the start of open enrollment. A Luma homepage banner will also be available throughout the month of May to help direct employees to key information.
Looking ahead to FY2027, we are pleased to share that employee medical premiums will not be increasing. We hope this provides meaningful relief for employees. Additionally, employees will also receive new insurance cards for FY2027, please watch for additional communication and distribution details.
We encourage all employees to take time during open enrollment to review their benefits and ensure their selections best meet their needs for the coming year.
