We are excited to share the rollout of the updated Performance Appraisal Template in Luma, supporting a more consistent and streamlined approach to performance appraisals across agencies.
This update brings appraisals and goals into a single, standardized form, reducing duplication and creating a clearer, more user-friendly experience for supervisors. Instead of managing goals separately, everything is now completed within one appraisal. Email notifications have also been enhanced to provide better visibility throughout the process, including when appraisals are approved and acknowledged.
To support agencies, we have developed resources that our Operations teams will use to guide implementation. These include facilitator materials (slide decks and scripts), OnDemand trainings for supervisors, and additional tools to support both navigation in Luma and the purpose behind performance appraisals.
Agencies will transition based on their own timelines, with agency leaders working closely with their HR Operations teams to determine the best approach. Operations teams will play a key role in this transition by sharing resources, answering questions, and supporting leaders throughout implementation.
This improvement in Luma would not have been possible without the collaboration and partnership of the SCO. As agencies begin using the new template, we will continue to gather feedback and make improvements.
